I get where people come from, when they put forward those kinds of arguments, I really do.

Still hurts.

Why do our kids have to be the strong ones?

Why do our kids have to be the ones who can take the beatings?

Why is that something you’re fucking proud of?

Why can’t our children be as soft and silly and imaginative and loveable and foolish and fallible as white children?

Why do we feel the compulsion to beat that kind of nonsense out of them?
